The SOCCER IN THE CITY COLLABORATIVE ("SCC") is a Denver-based multi-dimensional sports facility and programming initiative launched in 2014 with America SCORES Denver, 303FUTSAL and other community partners.
We work as a core team and collaborative network of youth sports advocates and community development leaders working together to identify, develop and implement dynamic, accessible and responsibly-managed youth sports facility and programming solutions across greater Denver and surrounding communities.
SCC actively engages and collaborates with community development advocates, schools, youth sports partners, vendors and funders to develop multi-use sports facilities and programming around the following shared objectives:
- Address sports accessibility bottlenecks by increasing facility capacity and integrated program opportunities
- Advocate as a catalyst, collaborative network and community voice for innovative youth sports and health solutions
- Develop flexible, multi-use solutions with focus on an international and diverse culture and "CAN-DO" attitude
- Commit to long-term sustainability principles via grassroots ownership and local leadership .
The also aims to implement fully integrated youth sports facility and programming solutions across these three categories:
SCC advocates for projects that position host communities, supporters and local youth sports advocates as "win-win-win" partners (win #1) for positive community impact (win #2) and measurable results (win #3).
